Key Club at McMinnville High School

Key Club is a student-led, high school organization. Our members make the world a better place through service. In doing so, we grow as individuals and as leaders by answering the call to lead, summoning the courage to engage, and developing the heart to serve.

We Learn Through Action

High school student members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities, such as leaf clean-up day,  partnering with local non-profit organizations, and supporting Kiwanis Club events. They also learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects, and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district, and international levels.

Circle K International at Linfield University

Linfield Circle K International (CKI) is an on-campus community service organization that aims to provide students with opportunities for service, leadership, and fellowship. Throughout the year, Linfield CKI:
  • Serves hundreds of hours around McMinnville
  • Attends Pacific Northwest district fall and spring events
  • Hosts club social events
  • And much more!
There is no pressure to serve regularly or any minimum amount. Instead, the club promotes a “serve as you can” model for members to volunteer when they want to and are able to. We typically meet as a group and have at least one service opportunity each week.

Beyond Backpacks

One of our largest projects and partnerships is with Beyond Backpacks, where each summer we ensure that local children receive brand-new, high-quality athletic shoes. On average, we distribute 700-800 pairs of shoes to kids signed up through the program, helping them start the school year on the right foot and promoting both confidence and physical activity. This initiative is a vital part of our mission to support local youth and strengthen our community.

McMinnville Public Library

In partnership with the McMinnville Public Library,  McMinnville Kiwanis purchases three books for every first grader in the McMinnville School District and offers transportation for schools in need to take a field trip to the library, where students receive a library card and a fun gift.

Special Olympics

For several years, McMinnville Kiwanis has proudly partnered with Special Olympics to host a pizza party celebrating their amazing athletes and their families!

Adopt-A-Road

We’ve been involved with Adopt-A-Road for several years and invite our members to join us a few times a year to help keep our roadways looking amazing.

Bell-Ringing

Each year, our members look forward to ringing the bell for the Salvation Army.  Our involvement helps make a meaningful impact during the season of giving!

Summer Fun

Our members volunteer in collaboration with the Library and Parks and Recreation to support a variety of summer projects hosted by these organizations.
